Administrative Assistant

Responsible for supporting the administrative needs of the program office.  Performs a variety of clerical duties such as maintaining files for correspondence, medical records, appointment setting, and other contract requirements; preparing and mailing letters, and responding to routine inquiries and questions.  

  • Professionally administers all incoming calls, ensuring phone calls are redirected appropriately and accurate messages are taken, greets guests in a professional friendly, hospitable manner; arranges for conference calls and team meetings as directed. 
  • Ensures timely and proper handling and safeguarding of classified, confidential, private or sensitive material; enters data into various software programs, and performs special projects as required.  
  • Additionally, maintains the reception area to be clean, orderly, and professional in its appearance. May be assigned other duties to meet business needs.


  • AA degree or equivalent work experience;
  • At least  2 years of office experience required, preferably in a healthcare setting;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets in MS Office;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks;
  • Proficient in use of office equipment, including faxes and copiers;
  • Excellent phone and face-to-face etiquette;
  • Customer service driven
