Summary Description

Oversees and facilitates all QI activities; provides continuous improvement strategies, principles, methodology, techniques, and data analysis. Utilizes measurable indicators and outcome measurements to determine whether the desired organizational results are achieved.

Accountabilities

  • Responsible for planning, developing, facilitating and evaluating outreach and education programs for providers and physicians, including on-demand webcasts.
  • Develops and facilitates training programs for staff.
  • Conducts education needs assessments and designs curriculum appropriate to the service needs.
  • Accountable for designing instruments to document and obtain participant evaluation of program content; reviewing, and analyzing evaluation results for future program planning.
  • Designs and produces educational materials targeting members and their stakeholders.

The list of accountabilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other education- and experience-related duties that management may deem necessary from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Adult Education Teaching Certificate or training in instructional design, adult learning, education, instructional technology or related field, strongly preferred.

Skills, Knowledge Abilities

  • Knowledge of CQI tools, curriculum development, course planning and effective uses of technological education tools and audio/visual equipment required.
  • Exceptional organization, customer service, communication skills including writing and facilitation and a strong team ethic is a must.
  • Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities with sometimes conflicting deadlines.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Software.
  • Ability to become proficient in additional educational software and to use the Internet as a research tool also helpful.

Experience        

  • 5-7 years’ experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Minimum 5 years training and expertise in preparing and delivering informational and instructional programs for adults, required.
  • Minimum 3 years continuous QI/QA experience required.
  • SIS experience required.
