                                                                  Quality Specialist - Healthcare

  • Responsible for monitoring, tracking and coordinating with the appropriate management staff to ensure compliance with contract deliverables, critical indicators (CI), and customer expectations for all assigned contracts. 
  • Works closely with the appropriate staff to establish and maintain a performance measurement/indicator system for Operations.
  • On a routine basis, prepares and provides data analysis of performance indicators and Executive Reports to Senior Management.
  • Oversees all IQC/CI/QIP activities conducted as assigned. Provides guidance and expertise to project teams and continuous improvement “consulting” services to internal customers.
  • Responsible for IRR studies and any other Quality Improvement studies conducted as required for assigned contracts or customers, both internal and external.
  • Responsible for monitoring compliance with KEPRO’s Comprehensive Confidentiality Plan.
  • Works directly with appropriate business analysts to identify and maximize opportunities to use data and reports to improve services, processes and products.
  • Reviews and analyzes detailed documentation to create business requirements and system(s) functionality; including workflows, program functions, and recommendations to develop or modify systems, processes, and/or applications.
  • Develops test cases, performs initial testing, supports end-user testing, documents findings, and makes recommendations/prepare business requirements accordingly. 
  • Facilitates the development and implementation of quality improvement plans, including policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Responsible for maintaining documented standards of performance and identifying all deviations from the quality improvement plan.
  • Maintains working knowledge of the current contract and deliverables to ensure compliance
  • Assists in the development of evaluation tools that will produce quantitative and qualitative data and findings to validate compliance and competence.
  • Ability to use knowledge of quality improvement models and methods (e.g. rapid cycle improvement, quality measurement and reporting, plan-do-check-act)


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3 or more years of quality management experience, with an emphasis on performance measurement systems, preferred
  • 1-2 years’ experience leading improvement teams, project management and/or continuous improvement activities, preferred
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, facilitation skills and a strong team ethic is a must; ability to support and influence a team environment. 
  • Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner under hectic and changing conditions. 
  • Previous workload management experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills necessary.
  • Advanced proficiency in use of productivity tools including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to organize, synthesize and analyze large amounts of information
  • Strong verbal and written skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with diverse audiences including physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, administrators and a wide-variety of non-technical staff.
