Health Intelligence Analyst

Summary Description

Responsible for analyzing health care and call center data and utilizing the data to identify potential business opportunities as well as report outcomes. Will be involved in other analytical projects that relate to business opportunities, financial reconciliation and outcomes research. 


  • Translates business requirements into data driven reports/applications.
  • Performs quantitative and qualitative analysis of healthcare data.
  • Identifies opportunities for operational improvements as driven by identified data trends.
  • Develops, enhances and maintains data processing platforms.
  • Identifies data disparities and actionable resolutions.
  • Performs quality checks of all analytics queries, reports, and applications and identifies disparities and actionable resolutions.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferred in computer science, statistics, math, or professional experience equivalent.

Skills, Knowledge Abilities

  • Demonstrated understanding of principles, practices, and techniques of general application development including programming and scripting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and VB programming/scripting language within Excel and Access is required
  • Basic SAS, SQL and statistical experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability with data analytics, and the ability to generate graphs/reports of analytic results


  • Experience with SQL Server and SQL Server Reporting Services, programming and analysis, as well as work with epidemiologist/biostatistician in conducting health service data manipulation highly desirable. 
  • Experience with Oracle preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Access preferred
  • Experience with Tableau preferred
  • Experience as a team leader or facilitator is a plus. 
  • Experience in healthcare and quality improvement methodologies a plus.
