*Remote based from home office

*Day shift

*No Weekends or Holidays

*No on Call requirements

Position Summary

Seeking an RN to work within the Aged and Disabled Waiver (ADW) and Nursing Facility (NF) Pre-Admission Screen (PAS) programs.  The ADW RN performs education and initial/re-evaluation assessments of Aged and Disabled Waiver members for the purpose of determining program medical eligibility and will serve as a back-up completing prior authorization for NF PAS requests.   

Essential functions 

  • Travel to, conduct, and document ADW assessments within prescribed timelines
  • Review and complete prior authorizations for NF PAS
  • Participate in inter-rater reliability activities
  • Participate in denial hearings as necessary
  • Contact physicians and facilities to confirm medical information
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Must possess a Nursing degree (Bachelor’s preferred) and a valid WV Registered Nurse license 
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience with the aging population or with persons with disabilities (preferably working within the WV Aged and Disabled Waiver program)
  • Must possess knowledge of the WV Aged and Disabled Waiver and Nursing Home PAS policies and procedures and be willing to travel to homes and facilities
  • Candidate should be organized and have excellent customer service skills, good interpersonal communication and be flexible
  • Applicant must be able to accurately assess medical conditions and symptoms and functional abilities
  • Applicant must be able to work independently based remotely from their home office and have basic computer skills.
