JOB TITLE:            ContractCoordinator

FLSA STATUS:     Nonexempt

Summary Description

Provide administrative and organizational support to theDirector of Operations in all projects and activities. Provides coordinationbetween management staff. Requires a range of skills and knowledge oforganizational policies and procedures. Work is performed under minimalsupervision, and requires independent judgment and discretion.


  • Evaluate / triage incoming review requests basedon varied timelines (expedited, accelerated, standard)
  • Assign appeals to physicians based on requestedservice, appeal timeline, physician specialty, physician availability, andworkload. Reviews, assigned hearings, meeting schedule
  • Enters data in the tracking system. Data enteredincludes diagnosis, determinations, physician’s time to complete the review,issues with the appeal and if additional information has been requested ofsubmitted. Accuracy is extremely important
  • Assists with the preparation of meetings and incoordinating local and corporate proposals or strategic meetings
  • Maintain daily calendars for reviews andhearings, approximately 18 calendars
  • Serve as back up Administrative Assistant

 High School graduate or GED required.

  • Associates degree highly desirable.

 Knowledge, Skills,Abilities 

  • Excellent organizational, verbal/writtencommunications and interpersonal relationship skills essential.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and setpriorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office softwareapplications.
  • Ability to interact with various levels ofpersonnel, both clinical and non-clinical.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology a plus


  • 3 - 5 years of administrative support experiencepreferably in a healthcare environment.
