Intake/Customer Service Representative


Provides customer service in a call center environment.  Communicates with a wide variety of external contacts including beneficiaries/members, healthcare providers and/or practitioners.  Communicates with internal clinical and operational staff.  Enters information into a database and internal systems.

  • Meet internal and external timeliness criteria by answering calls within established timeframes and completing post-call work timely, including generation of customer communication materials and general assessments
  • Provide a record of customer calls through timely database documentation
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with timely problem resolution

  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • High school diploma or verifiable GED
  • Minimum 2-4 years customer service experience, preferred experience in customer resolution, call center and/or healthcare environment
  • Must have excellent customer service, organization, and communication (written/verbal) skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office, Internet and web-based systems
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, preferred
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities, multi-task and work independently or as part of a team to meet customer expectations as well as internal and external standards
  • Ability to recognize when to escalate to Team Lead or Supervisor
