JOB TITLE:            ProposalWriter/PRN

REPORTS TO:      Director,Operations

DEPARTMENT:  Operations

FLSA STATUS:     Non-Exempt

Summary Description

Responsible for assisting with the preparation of RFPresponses on a per project basis.  Thisincludes project idea documents and plans, developing responses, editing foraccuracy and incorporating industry specific information to demonstrate KEPRO’sadvantage. 


  • Writes and edits RFP responses as assigned.  Assignments will be communicated with timeallocation based on size of the opportunity.
  • Collaborates with other staff including toassure all pertinent information is included in the project plan in sufficientdetail to provide a complete and accurate depiction of all project activities.
  • Coordinates with team members regardingproduction. This includes assisting staff with writing and/or editing,obtaining necessary approvals, and ensuring that the document gets to theclerical staff by the deadline.
  • Develops project plans, when necessary. Thisincludes coordinating the efforts of the review staff and other staff who arecontributing information.

  • Bachelor's degree in technical writing or ahealth-related field is required.
  • Masters level education and/or degree in healthcare or a writing-related field is strongly preferred.
  • EAP background in operations and writingstrongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills,Abilities (KSA)

  • Adaptability/flexibility is critical.
  • Must write clearly and concisely in formalEnglish.
  • Must be able to work and communicate effectivelywith a wide range of professional and non-professional staff, accept criticismof drafts calmly, and work under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and otherpublishing software.
  • The nature of this position exposes the employeeto sensitive materials and requires a high level of confidentiality.


  • 2 to 4 years of experience as a writer isrequired.
