                                                       QUALITY IMPROVEMENT COORDINATOR

Responsible for coordinating the design, implementation, and refinement of Quality Improvement Plan.  Coordinates and facilitates all QI activities and assures that the Program achieves and maintain accreditation and certification status through adherence to Agency specializations.  Trains staff to ensure all Operations conform to the principles of continuous quality improvement and guides the training staff on these concepts for incorporation into all provider training.  Helps develop UM and UR policies and oversees the measuring and meeting of performance specifications.

  • Facilitates the development and implementation of quality improvement plans, including policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Responsible for maintaining documented standards of performance and identifying all deviations from the quality improvement plans
  • Responsible for compiling and analyzing financial, utilization management and other statistical data for use in the quality reporting
  • Reports all findings to the Program Director
  • Works with the Service Integration Department to develop training sessions and manuals related to providers' quality improvement plans and audits
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Masters degree in Business, Public Administration, Mental Health, Social Work or Nursing - OR - equivalent license and/or licensed RN
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a quality improvement programming position, preferably in a Quality Improvement or Healthcare setting
  • Must have knowledge of utilization review and utilization management process
  • Experience in West Virginia HHS system is highly preferred
