Quality/Training Specialist - Healthcare

Summary Description

Conducts needs assessments for training, researches and develops unique conceptual/theoretical training course to meet demonstrated management needs, delivers training using text, visual aids, and handouts, and evaluates the effectiveness and impact of training courses.


  • Works with Subject Matter Experts to develop needs-based training and improvement plans for client staff that exceed quality threshold levels established by their managers.
  • Develop assessment material for competency testing and improvement plans for staff who exceed established quality thresholds. 
  • Writes, reviews, and updates Workflows, Policies & Procedures, and Desktops Training Manuals as necessary.
  • Facilitates/develops/implements processes and computer program/software improvements as needed. 
  • Conducts continuous/performance improvement activities according to contract specifications.
  • Performs all improvement activities according to quality control plans and within corporate goals.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills.
  • Knowledge of the principles of employee training including curriculum assessment and development.
  • Knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of employee training development including methodology of determining and developing training needs and goals, alternate training methods, curriculum outlines and materials, training and teaching resources, and assessment of results.
  • Ability to apply basic instructional techniques and methods in the preparation and conduct of training sessions.
  • Ability to apply this knowledge in the development of effective training programs in a variety of public settings.
  • Ability to resolve normal classroom problems and make outside contacts for supplemental information and materials.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates, supervisors, managers, employees, and the public.


  • Minimum 2 years adult training experience; including designing, developing and delivering educational sessions
  • Project Management skills strongly preferred
  • Experience assisting in developing and/or knowledge of critical indicators
  • IRQR and SIS experience highly desired
