Job Description


Review Assistant

Provides a broad range of administrative support to the IDD Waiver department and reports to the Office Manager.  The position supports office employees with day-to-day office functions, training and non-clinical support functions.
Provides administrative/assistive support to multiple departments that includes:
  • Answering telephone, screen and direct calls appropriately; enter data into various software programs; ensure timely and proper handling and safeguarding of confidential, private or sensitive material
  • Track daily and weekly department acitivites and complete appropriate tracking reports; prepare and send out correspondence related to department activities (e.g., notifications, reports, etc), and data entry and import of information required for reports and notification
  • Continue professional development, cross-train to provide administrative coverage to other departments and perform other duties as assigned

Q QUALIFICATIONS

  •     High school diploma or verifiable GED (advance certification/degree) preferred
  •     1-2 years of experience in administrative or customer service positions.
  •     Medical terminology and/or claims experience helpful.
  •     Preferred candidate will possess knowledge of the WV Medicaid Program.
  •     Must have excellent customer service and communications (written/verbal) skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize
  •     Ability to work in a team environment.
  •     Ability to interpret complex documentation.
  •     Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  •     Computer skills required with MS Word and Outlook and proprietary software.
  •     Strong critical thinking skills necessary.
  •     Flexibility and exceptional organizational skills needed.
