JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE:            Scheduler

REPORTS TO:      Manager, Operations

DEPARTMENT:  Operations

FLSA STATUS:     Nonexempt

Summary Description

Responsible for scheduling appointments to conduct assessments for PASRR and LTC.

Accountabilities

  • Schedule appointments with members for LTC and PASRR.
  • Provide directions and transportation needs. 
  • Confirms appointments with members and reviewers.
  • Maintains and organizes reviewer’s schedules and appointments.
  • Works closely with the customer service representative to ensure optimal customer service.
  • Generate form letter(s) and mail were applicable.
  • Maintain tickler system to ensure  a timely response.
  • Provide back-up support for customer service team members.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Post high school education preferred.
  • Medical terminology course helpful.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Must project courteous and patient image over the telephone.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to use word processing software.
  • Knowledge of telephone systems.
  • Bilingual preferred (English and a second language)
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure without direct supervision.

Experience

  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in healthcare industry.
  • Experience in internet-based research, and client/account management and/or sales support function.  
  • Specific medical management industry experience strongly preferred.
