Senior Health Intelligence Programmer

A successful candidate will work in a team environment andbe responsible for developing, enhancing and maintaining the core dataprocessing platforms of the company and working with large data volumeprocessing to drive business solutions by querying existing databases in orderto create actionable data reports and by creating and maintaining datareporting applications that result in efficient data extraction. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accreditedcollege or university in Data Science/Analytics, Information Systems,Statistics or related field required; Master’s degree preferred or professionalexperience equivalent.
  • Knowledgeable of business intelligence and datawarehouse methodologies
  • Knowledge of database management systems (DBMS)
  • Skilled in database administration
  • Skilled in SQL tools including SSRS, SSAS, SSMS,and Team Foundation Server
  • Skilled in ETL tools
  • Skilled in data modeling
  • Skilled in performance tuning and identification
  • Knowledge of business and technical systems andprocesses
  • Skilled in requirements gathering anddocumentation
  • Skilled in functional and technical designspecifications
  • Skilled in process modeling 
  • Knowledgeable of the healthcare industry,managed care, and operational systems.
  • Queries existing databases to pull datanecessary for reporting and contract deliverables
  • Develops, enhances and maintains data processingplatforms
  • Works collaboratively with internal and externalcustomers to create business requirements
  • Performs quality checks of all analyticsqueries, reports, and applications and identifies disparities and actionableresolutions
  • Acts as programming mentor and subject matterexpert to team’s programmers and analysts
  • Trains peers as necessary in programming andapplication development techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to extract data andcomplete meaningful analysis to support actionable outcomes required.
  • Proven ability to research and resolve technicalissues and ensure data integrity.
  • Exceptional organization, customer service,communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to successfully respond to change andhandle multiple and changing priorities with sometimes conflicting deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to present and explainanalytic findings to a non-analytic audience and a strong team ethic is a must.
