Job Description

IDD Assessors needed throughout PA 

Do you have experience working with IDD individuals? Do you have a 4-year degree? KEPRO will provide the training and certification required.

Clinical Assessor

Administers a needs assessment instrument to individuals enrolled in the Consolidated and P/FDS waivers, individuals receiving Autism services, individuals receiving services from private and public ICF/IDs, and individuals on DHS-ODP’s waiting list and individuals identified to be enrolled in the programs; collects assessment-related data and enters needs assessment data.

  • Comply with all applicable regulations and requirements (HIPAA, Medicaid, etc.)
  • Record data in SIS databases
  • Track multiple monthly assessment referrals
  • Understand and be able to explain SIS results
  • Attend monthly SIS team meetings


  • 4-year college degree; work in the field of human services; and have experience working directly with individuals diagnosed with intellectual disabilities (“ID”) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (“ASD”);
  • Must have experience with interviewing and communicating with individuals with ID and Autism and administering standard assessments.
  • Ability to travel as part of the SIS assessor team
  • Excellent communications skills and computer experience
  • Must be able to pass criminal background clearances from the Pennsylvania State Police and Child Abuse Clearances per the Child Protective Services Law (“CPL”), 23 Pa. C.S. Chapter 63

Preferred qualifications

  • Possess the skills to engage the individual with ID or ASD so that the user is able to understand the individual, despite language and communication abilities, and that the individual with ID and/or ASD understands the intent of the assessment questions, paying particular attention to the individual’s struggle with abstract concepts
  • Experience working with individuals with ID and ASD with co-occurring mental health and physical health challenges.
