Telecommunications Analyst

Provide enterprise-wide KEPRO telephony systems support related to the operationalrequirements all business units; assist with network administration tasks.

  • Participatein installing, maintaining, repairing, servicing, modifying and troubleshootinga variety of complex communication and electronics equipment. This includes allsystems related to KEPRO's central contact center andrelated applications that support the various business units that depend on thissystem.
  • Diagnoseand correct equipment failure and malfunctions; modify equipment to ensure fulland proper usage of systems and equipment.
  • Establishand coordinate a preventative maintenance program to ensure proper functioningof assigned systems and equipment.
  • Conferwith contractors and telephone company representatives to coordinate andparticipate in new installations and upgrades. Report to the appropriate vendorany equipment malfunctions and engineering problems encountered. Follow-up withcorrective actions taken.
  • Orderparts and materials as needed; assess condition of and need for new equipment;recommend the purchase of new/additional equipment deemed necessary.
  • Assistin the layout and design of new equipment and communications systems for new orrenovated facilities to include development and preparation of specifications,installation guidelines and cost evaluations.
  • Prepareand maintain telephone system readiness for disaster recovery to preservebusiness continuity.
  • Assistand act as a backup to the Network Administrator in maintaining the Local Areaand Wide Area Networks.

  • Degree in IT, Telecommunications or related discipline, preferred; or anequivalent combination in education and experience
  • Five years with PBX and Switch phone system programming experience in a multiple facility agency 
  • Proficiency in configuration and administrationof Nortel telephone systems
  • Ability to set up, test, implement, andtroubleshoot
