Telecommunications Analyst

Provide enterprise-wide KEPRO telephony systems support related to the operational requirements all business units; assist with network administration tasks.
  • Participate in installing, maintaining, repairing, servicing, modifying and troubleshooting a variety of complex communication and electronics equipment. This includes all systems related to KEPRO's central contact center and related applications that support the various business units that depend on this system.
  • Diagnose and correct equipment failure and malfunctions; modify equipment to ensure full and proper usage of systems and equipment.
  • Establish and coordinate a preventative maintenance program to ensure proper functioning of assigned systems and equipment.
  • Confer with contractors and telephone company representatives to coordinate and participate in new installations and upgrades. Report to the appropriate vendor any equipment malfunctions and engineering problems encountered. Follow-up with corrective actions taken.
  • Order parts and materials as needed; assess condition of and need for new equipment; recommend the purchase of new/additional equipment deemed necessary.
  • Assist in the layout and design of new equipment and communications systems for new or renovated facilities to include development and preparation of specifications, installation guidelines and cost evaluations.
  • Prepare and maintain telephone system readiness for disaster recovery to preserve business continuity.
  • Assist and act as a backup to the Network Administrator in maintaining the Local Area and Wide Area Networks.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree in IT, Telecommunications or related discipline, preferred; or an equivalent combination in education and experience
  • Five years of Telecommunications experience 
  • Experience with configuring and administering call center environments
  • Ability to set up, test, implement, and troubleshoot
